After-Hours
Our on-call doctor is available 365 days a year during
non-business hours if your pet requires after-hours care. A call to
our regular office number -- 234.2928 -- will page the doctor, who will
then promptly return your call. |

Surgery
We routinely perform a wide variety of soft-tissue and orthopedic
procedures. Our hospital features a surgery room equipped with a
gas-anesthesia machine and an EKG-monitoring system. Should the need
arise, we have the extra benefit of a board-certified surgery/neurology
consultant. |
Dental
Just like people, animals suffer from plaque build up. If
left untreated, plaque can lead to gum disease, which in turn can lead to
life-threatening infections in other parts the body. Crossroads Animal
Hospital recommends that your pet's wellness plan include annual dental
appointments. For more information concerning animal dentistry, please see
www.petdental.com. |
Wellness
"An ounce of prevention. . ." is particularly
applicable where your pet's health is concerned. Your pet should be
examined and vaccinated starting at 6 to 8 weeks of age. After the initial
kitten or puppy series, annual visits are recommended until
geriatric care is appropriate. Once your companion animal reaches
its 8th year, you should consider semiannual examinations for early detection of
diseases and conditions common to our older patients. |
Diagnostic
Crossroads Animal Hospital contains a laboratory with
state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and a modern x-ray machine and processing
equipment. Our investment in this equipment ensures quick and accurate
diagnoses of disease and trauma. Procedures performed in our laboratory
include chemistry panels, complete blood counts, urinalysis, fecal examinations,
Feline Leukemia/FIV tests and heartworm tests. We employ the services of
outside laboratories and specialists as the need arises. |

Boarding
|
All of our boarding facilities are in-door and temperature
controlled. They include a separate cat room complete with
multi-level "kitty condos" and an aquarium for feline
entertainment. For our canine boarders, we offer runs or cages and
frequent out-door walks in our fenced outside exercise area.
For the protection of your pets, as well as our other boarders, we
require that all animals staying with us be free of fleas and ticks, and
current on vaccinations. If your pet arrives with fleas or ticks, we
can treat it for a nominal fee. Please bring proof of current
vaccination with you if your pet is not currently a patient with us.
For your convenience, we are open from 5:30 to 6:00 on Sunday evenings
for admitting and discharging boarders. |

| We provide baths every weekday. Our staff provides clip-offs and
"comfort cuts" by appointment. We have a professional
groomer available by appointment for breed specific or specialized
grooming needs. |
